It is important to check the list of ingredients for each mineral makeup.

Applying Pure Mineral Makeup
Light and natural looking make-up will only get you so far - tools and techniques of application are also very important and for a flawless finish use a high quality soft brush.
Very little amounts of powder foundation are required compared to liquids. Tap a small amount of powder into the lid of the jar and swirl your brush into it. Tap the excess powder back into the lid or, with the brush head facing upwards, tap the end of the handle onto a hard surface. This will settle the powder into the brush head. It is important to layer the make-up rather than apply it all in one go. Those who require more coverage simply apply more layers. Do not buff the minerals into your skin as it will force the minerals into your pores. Apply it in short, feathery, downward strokes. If you need to conceal blemishes or dark circles under your eyes use a smaller concealer brush and apply the powder onto the area blending out the edges.
For maximum coverage a foam sponge can be used which can be replaced regularly. This will not offer the smooth finish achieved when using a soft brush but is useful for covering up conspicuous marks and scars.
It is also important to keep the tools of application clean as this will help reduce the amount of bacteria and will also maintain the softness of brushes. Bacteria free tools are important for people with acne and softer brushes will help with sensitive or irritated skin. Brushes can be rinsed gently in warm water with the aid of a gentle mild shampoo and left to dry naturally on their side.
If you prefer liquid foundation simply add a dab of water to the foundation in the lid and mix well until you've reached your desired consistency. If you have dry skin, try mixing in a dab of moisturiser instead of water.
