Restylane Lipp

What is it?

Restylane Lipp is specially designed to integrate easily into the dermal tissue and attract water to maintain volume. The crystal clear, non animal stabilised hyaluronic acid gel in Restylane Lipp boosts the skin's hydration system to lift and smooth away fine lines, creating a natural fullness. Your lips will not only look more attractive but they will also feel more hydrated. Restylane Lipp can also be combined with other Restylane treatments to enhance your looks, whether you want to banish tell tale ageing frown lines or nose to mouth lines or simply diminish the fine lines above the lips caused by sun damage and smoking.

How does it work?

RESTYLANE Lipp ® is 'tissue tailored' for lip enhancement and formulated to work in harmony with the natural anatomy of the lips. Based on patented NASHA (Non-Animal Stabilised Hyaluronic Acid) technology, it has a 'cohesive yet dynamic' gel configuration, structured to withstand the full range of mouth movements and is designed to maintain lip enhancement over time. With its natural affinity for lip tissue, new RESTYLANE Lipp ® gives the ability to 'sculpt' the lips to create volume, definition and contours that work in harmony with their natural appearance.

What should I bear in mind after the treatment?

Immediately after treatment, there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This a normal result of the injection. This inconvenience generally disappears after a few days. If these do not, or if other reactions occur, it is advised to contact your doctor.

The initial swelling after lip treatment may last longer. Some patients experience swelling for about a week and the lips can look uneven during this time. This means that the result directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final result.

If you are having treatment to the lip area and have a history of cold sores your doctor will prescribe anti-viral medication to prevent a flare up of cold sores, a well known result to any trauma of the lips.

Avoid touching the treated area for 6 hours after the treatment. After that the area can be gently washed with soap and water, and light make up can be applied.

Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense hear (e.g. solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold.
