10 to 20 minutes prior to treatment, your physician will draw 10 to 20 millilitres of your blood (like taking a standard blood test). She will separate the blood into its ingredients, in a procedure that will last 10-20 minutes. MyCells® is injected below the surface of the skin in the area of fat loss and/or wrinkles. MyCells® provides a gradual increase in skin thickness. Visible results appear after the first treatment session.
No skin testing is required prior to use.
Treatment results will typically last up to 1½ -2 years after the first treatment session in most patients. Touch-up treatments may be needed to maintain the desired effect.
As with any injection, injections with MyCells® may hurt. MyCells® is injected in small amounts using a very fine needle. Your healthcare provider may apply a topical or local anaesthetic.

The area where the injections will be given will be cleaned with an antiseptic, and a local anaesthetic will be applied on areas where injections will be made. Once MyCells® is prepared from your blood, it will be injected to your skin as follows: MyCells® will be injected in small amounts into the skin using a very fine needle. Multiple injections will be needed. An ice pack may be applied to the treatment area to help reduce swelling.
Immediately following a treatment session with MyCells®, redness, swelling, pain, bruising or all of these signs can happen in the treatment area. These signs usually go away in a few hours to a few days. Your doctor will give you specific post-treatment care instructions.
Most patients feel comfortable going back to their normal activities following treatment.
Make-up may be applied a few hours after treatment if no complications are present (for example, open wounds or bleeding).
Patients who experience the following conditions, should not use MyCells®: Platelet Dysfunction Syndrome, Critical Thrombocytopenia, Hypofibrinogenaemia, Haemodynamic Instability, Sepsis, Acute & Chronic Infections, Chronic Liver Pathology and Anti-coagulation Therapy. Pregnancy, breast feeding, auto immune disease and cancer.
